am new to this thread and am directing this msg to you because you are active and well informed. unless i'm missing something, the wp related charge last quarter removes an amortizing asset from the balance sheet, which was worth roughly (very roughly) $.25 in '96 (when wp wasn't part of the balance sheet for the full yr). so even in the absence of any good news from wp8 sales, there will be an automatic boost to earnings - yet first call is still showing current q earnings at the same range as before the announcement. are the analysts asleep? or is first call behind the time in its updates? tp
