Isopatch,

A very nice observation. On my overlay charts going back to the beginning of 1997, there is a very nice correspondence on the turns between OSX and HKO. The magnitude of the increase or decline doesn't correspond that well but the HKO seems to turn about 3 weeks ahead of the OSX. There are a number of V's formed on the HKO that don't really correspond to changes in OSX. I wonder if they were particular events? It might be useful to look at MA crossings on the HKO as a signal for OSX buys and sales, either with each other or between the index and its moving average. It looked like turns in the 50dMA actually were proceded by turns in the OSX. It will be of interest to me to see if there are useable trading signals here and if so over what periods.

Thanks for pointing this out (Big Dog too)
