It won't be information consumed by the masses until it's on their TVs, which aint bloody likely. I tell people how I gather information and most get a look of nausea on their face. My kids and friends tell me it is totally unacceptable to listen to talk radio or to get information from the internet. In the societal climate we've developed, it is widely believed that the mainstreams of NBC, CNN, ABC, and clones are real news, the rest is just mean and creepy. As far as news from the radio, most consider NPR honest, fair, and friendly; which is enough for the average person. I listen to it and they are right, but you will never get coverage like you just presented from a program like that. The coverage there is selectively left leaning friendly with a soft sneer regarding conservative views. So without a cultural change to open people's minds, which requires a major shock to the system, the folk are not likely to make any effort to get the facts.
