Jack, While I can agree somewhat with your post, I feel less concern about managements in cyclical businesses that are having problems due to lower commodity prices (like low chips prices of the companies you mentioned.) Novell is in a growth industry and even excluding their discontinued business, revenues were flat. Yes, up in some areas, but obvious, down in others. And, how long will it take to have the up revenue sections dominate enough to get the overall revenues going? Annodotal evidence, (and when going against MSFT, that's all it takes), suggests that maybe a long time, if (hopefully not) ever. Mat
