H.P., OK!, I
think that is a fair request. It is just that it is very upsetting for me to see so many posts on this thread recently that give feelings without providing support, or reasons, for those "feelings". I am therefore, currently going through a period of reconsideration on how frequently, and how deep I want to go, in posting on SI.
I think lately that the good posts are getting diluted here by individuals who don't provide their backgrounds, or support their conclusions with only

Perhaps starting a new thread "INTC 4 Serious Investors Only" might be a solution. It would be a thread, while it was open for everyone to read, restrict everyone who did NOT provide profiles, or had not demonstrated their background, from posting. Perhaps this would save us all from the necessity of going through 50 to 100 posts each night in order to maintain a continuity.

Now for Intel. I think that INTEL is THE BEST COMPANY in the world to invest in for the long term investor. That either INTC, or INTCW should be bought on every irrational dip that may occur. This is especially true if one wants a good ROI with relative safety. In addition, Intel is great stock for those investors who are unable to watch the market every hour, of every trading day. It is a stock to own that most of the time permits a good night sleep. However, about two weeks ago, it appeared to me that there was "irrational exuberance" demonstrated right here, on our very own Intel thread.

People were buying this stock who had no business buying any stocks. Not only that, but they were looking for how to leverage themselves with options. Never mind that they did not understand the issues, or do a competitive analysis, or read a 10 K, or even an Annual Report.
No! all they knew was that they heard on CNBC that Intel had moved from 49, a year ago, to 149 today, and they wanted in. They didn't care what it cost, they just wanted in. Of course, to make up for lost time, they were going to buy options. They had never used options before. They didn't understand how a Put or Call even worked, but they did know that someone on the Intel SI thread, said back in mid December, that INTC would be at 157, on Jan 15, between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 PM .

So! I saw just what the ex MM saw. These novices wanted in so badly they would pay what ever they had to to get in. When CatsklPubs wrote that he was taken by the MMs, he was wrong. I was one of the investors willing to sell my Call Options to him and other "irrationally
euphoric" people. I was betting that he, or others like him, hadn't spent his life studying the computer industry, or followed Intel since its inception, like me and some others posters on this thread had. Don't get me wrong, this bet was not a turkey shoot for me. You see long term, I believe, they are right. If I didn't already own a lot of Intel I would pay a premium to get in also. But, you see, the difference is that I have done my homework and I have conviction. And it is this strong conviction that I believe, gives me the edge over all these "Johnny come latelys", momentum player, Intel traders.

To those of my long term investors friends on this BB, I ask, how many times have we read here someone saying that as soon as Intel dips to 58, or 62, 86, 98, 110 or below 129, they were going to load up with more Intel? They rarely did. I remember about a year ago responding
to someone here who was angry that he didn't catch INTC when it was in the 50s. INTC was trading @ 62 at the time. I wrote back that while I understood that he missed 50, look how happy he will be 6 months from now if he now buys today at 62. He never did buy and that was the last post that we ever saw of him.
End of Part I
