Dear John:

What the Lord has accomplished here is provide a sanctuary and a refuge for those that are called by His name. It is in His presence, that victory is won and the oppressed are delivered.

I really am not trying to sound like a paid political announcement. The Lord realizes we have to make a living, support our families, pay bills and do the mundane tasks of life; but if anyone can just take a few moments out of the day and remember the Lord in praise or Thanksgiving ((THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS THANKSGIVING WEEK )) submit a prayer or concern to the Lord then I believe that person is much happier and satisfied and content in the life the Lord has called them to. Yes, Christ wants to inhabit each nook and cranny of every heart and He wants us to trust and love Him beyond all comprehension but it is much more important to use our time and effort contemplating His love for us rather than our love for him.

That attitude is not selfish either IMO. I know I am splitting hairs and can open this up to a lot of debate. However human pride and deceit are deeper than anyone of us can comprehend. Even the best we have to offer is "filthy rags in the eyes of the Lord " so why waste time contemplating what we can do for God--lets use every opportunity contemplating what God will do for US and for those we pray for. If you really stop to think about it it is not selfish at all but it fulfills the desires of a loving and merciful and patient and kind and generous Christ..so Lord who am I to stop YOU from being all these things.. In Christ..... gregor
