Pitt "appears" to be the classic fox guarding the henhouse. From my point of view as an investor, he was a strange choice for this job, like making Bill Gates (or Jesse Jackson for that matter) the head of the DOJ.

Hopefully Pitt will rise above his previous bias and serve in his nation's best interest, not just implement and spindoctor the interests of his previous clients.
I read recently that one of Pitt's earliest moves was to reduce SEC enforcement staff. Remember the S&L Industry when the regulators were slowed down by political ideologues in the interests of the "free market"? We need pragmatism and BALANCED economic vision not radical ideology (from the left or right).
