With a globally aging population, using myself as an example is probably not totally wrong.

We have 3 cars. 2 classics and a daily user. Between the 3 cars we drive less than 15,000 km per year with our “daily” driver accounting for 75%. No matter how I work the math, an EV just doesn’t make sense for us.

The other huge problem from my point of view ... I am heavily involved in residential rental properties. Supplying charge points tenants will be hugely expensive as the electrical infrastructure in most buildings needs to be completely revamped.

No landlord is going to absorb this cost and it will end up in a huge battle as ICE owners will resist rent increases for the benefit of EV owners.
