Hypnotism must work in a similar way - a subconscious willingness to join in. Understanding group dynamics and developing self-defence against it is certainly a good idea. Natural selection in humans has provided for plenty of both, so when the mob self-exterminates, there are always hermits in the hills to take over, and when the hermits, and tiny tribes, are made obsolete, there are plenty to go on with in the cities, who then spin off to become the new hermits. Yes, good quote: <'a collection of a hundred good intellects produces collectively one idiot'. > I observed that peculiar phenomenon starting decades ago. In Big Oil, where I worked, it was endemic. In government it's not just endemic, it's compulsory. Obamacare will be more of the same. Mqurice
