When in high school in the 50's, I lived in Cincinnati, we had a spring shower once that sprinkled 3" of rain in 30 minutes and then quit. I had to walk to my Grandpa's locksmith shop, about 20 city blocks and no umbrella. It was like walking through the bottom of a bottom of a 20 block wide waterfall. I'm lucky we never had a real toad strangler from the way people describe it. :~)
