Since all you Stock Swapians have been nice enough to put up with my occasional bashing of DHMG, I thought I would suggest a short term trade that you might want to consider. The company is Energy Research Corp, which is trading on the ASE at around $17.25 or so. I've owned it a while as a long term investment, but I just bought a bunch more as a trade, because of what is going on with another company in its industry, Ballard Power (BLDPF). Both companies make "fuel cells", which are devices for getting electricity out of hydrocarbons without burning them. Ballard has been getting tons of publicity lately and the stock is going berserk, from around $40 less than 2 weeks ago to over $70 today (these are US prices - Ballard also trades in Canada.)
I think ERC is actually a better company, or certainly as good, yet its market cap is less than 1/20 of Ballard's. Part of its problem has been that no one ever heard of fuel cells, but with the recent publicity and Ballard's stock action, I would be surprised if someone didn't pick up on ERC pretty soon.
I just wrote a long piece on the Ballard thread comparing the two companies: techstocks.com
Good luck. |
