Infonautics' Electric Library looks like a really good product. But I think schools and public libraries are probably bureaucratic and slow to move. It's also going to be real difficult for them to get a large group of individual subscribers. I mean, how do they cut through the overwhelming clutter of web services being offered?

I'd love to see them try to market their product as a bundle with fixed-rate online services and ISP's. After all, AOL is dying to get money for value added services over and above the unlimited monthly fee. If you add $7.95 or so for Electric Library to AOL's $19.95 - I think alot of scholastically minded parents would consider this for their children. It would also get the product alot more visibility.

The stock is selling for $3.00, and they have about $3.00 cash in the bank. Obviously, the market isn't convinced they'll stop burning cash and start developing into a viable business. They have to prove otherwise.
