The stock market seems to always favor a political status quo situation, and would fear the uncertainty brought about by any major shift in that status quo. I look for the Republicans to make minor gains in Congress, but do not expect wholesale changes based upon Clinton's dalliances. Should the Republicans make major gains in tomorrow's Congressional elections, the markets could possibly re-test their recent former lows IMO because of this "balance of power" uncertainty factor.
