jason, hart,

You need ripping software to "rip" a song from a CD and onto your computer. A good all around program is Music Match Jukebox.
Once you rip the song to your computer you then have one of two options: leave it as an MP3 and play it through your computer or load it to your RIO player or convert it to a .wav file and copy it to a cd using
your cd writer. Some things to remember - MP3's only work with an MP3 player not your home/car stereo, when making your own cd's for your home/car stereo DO NOT use re-writable disks they will not play on anything but your computer.

It is legal to make your own CD's from your music collection - it is not legal to distribute those copies to others.
