The WTO protest is analagous to the Civil Rights battles of the 1960s. It is an apparently successful attempt to jog Americans out of their complacency (yet AGAIN) and try to redress wrongs before they spiral out of control. (As long as I fit into your neat little picture of the world, Ray, I'm happy. I think we'd probably agree on a lot of other things, but complexity might be too difficult for one who likes to "peg" people.)
