RADIUS EXPLORATIONS LTD. 855 - 409 Granville Street Vancouver, BC V6C 1T2 July 3, 2001 The Company is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on the Tambor Project in central Guatemala. This Phase I drill campaign will be a minimum of 2500 metres and includes both reverse circulation and diamond drill bore holes. The drill has been mobilized to the Lupita Zone and will drill 6 to 8 widely spaced holes before moving onto the Sastre Zone where a similar program will be undertaken. The Lupita and Sastre Zones have now been defined by soil sampling, detailed mapping and trenching along a length of 1000 metres and 500 metres respectively. Both zones remain open to extension and demonstrate the consistency to host significant gold accumulations within planar shear zones 10 to 50 metres thick that dip to the north at 10 to 15 degrees. The areas selected for initial drilling host near surface gold mineralization. A Quality Assurance /Quality Control Program (QA/QC) and sample handling protocol is being implemented during the drilling. Sample blanks and rig duplicates will be inserted into the sample stream in order to monitor sample and analytical quality. Inspectorate Laboratories of Reno, Nevada will pick up drill samples at the property on a regular basis. The samples will be dried and crushed in Guatemala and a 250 gram split will be sent by air freight to Reno for gold and multi-element analysis using standard fire assay and ICP techniques. Check assay samples will be sent to Bondar Clegg of North Vancouver on a regular basis to ensure analytical consistency. The Tambor Project is part of the recently discovered Motagua Gold Belt that has now been traced by the Company over a distance exceeding 20 kilometres. Three large gold anomalies have been defined within this belt (Tambor, Bella Vista and Tierra Blanca Projects) during the past 18 months. Over ten individual gold zones have been identified along the trend and all will eventually be drill-tested. The gold mineralization is controlled by low angle thrust faults within metasediments and metavolcanics of the Tambor Schist. The Company is also pleased to announce that the financing announced May 8th 2001 has closed and the proceeds of $2.2 million have been received. The financing announced June 1st with the Goldfields group of companies is in the final stages and is expected to close the coming week.
