Jean, read todays WSJ....page B7.

1. Shareholders who recommended IBM buy a struggling company such as
NOVL, UNISYS etc... are a) analysts b) large shareholders.

It definitely was not investors such as ourselves (i.e those holding a
couple of thousand shares).

2. 10 million shares ? Jean, look at v9olume over the last year and you will see 15 or 20 million shares traded on some days. Barron's article created this fiasco we are seeing (thank God since I sold my options into the rally). NOVL has over 350 million shares outstanding. 10 million represents less than 3%. A serious bidder would accumulate
10% - 15%.

3. NOVL + UNISYS was an attempt at humour. Sorry you did not get a
laugh out of it.

4. Value Line has a 5 rating on Novell as far as timeliness is concerned...I belive Unisys has the same. Value Line staff are analysts.

Keep an open mind on Novl. It is not out of the woods on last two days of trading. Watch the warning signs and don't ignore them for the sake of wishing you could get out of this stock. That's not the way to invest.

P.S Don't despise -'ve articles. It can do more good than you
realize i.e could stop you from buying more shares and help you realize that diversification is the key to successful investing.
