Hi Gregor,

"so why waste time contemplating what we can do for God..."

Interesting way of looking at it but when I consider the following verse whatever we do for God is considered only reasonable service...

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of god, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service." Romans 12:1

We know that in everything we are to bring our requests to the Lord in prayer and with thanksgiving so I can see your statement as true.

In that light I join you in praise and thanksgiving to our Lord.

Father God,
I would join my brother Gregor and all others here in praise to your name, your glory, and your love for us.
We thank you Lord for the work you are doing, for answered prayer and those you are in the process of answering.
We know that because your ways are higher than our ways, your thoughts higher than our thoughts, our requests may not always be in line with your perfect will. But you know the intent of our hearts, help us to pray to you in spirit and truth with thanksgiving already in our hearts believing that you are capable of all, and that all perfect blessings flow from you.
As we come boldly before your throne of grace we appeal to you Lord to hear our prayers and anoint us with those gifts that we can best use in your service. Make us a blessing to others. May you be pleased in us and may we dwell in your presence always.
In Jesus name
