I remember 1980 and 1987 even better.
This move is nothing like 1987, it is like 1980 and may be stronger.
Now before I engage in what many will see as hyperbole let me say I am going to trade silver more or less like it is going to $15/$20, but what I post below is what I really believe, because the post below is just too big of a bite, especially fro me, I am careful-lol??
This is acting like 1980 not 1987. Which I have been guessing all along because the 3rd world has money, likes silver and gold, likes gambling and we now have the internet and the world is a mess both militarily and with regard to the dolalr as currency of last resort.
Look at how silver is acting each day up a little and then up a little more (bigger bites)--backing and filling as it goes. This is the best possible way for it to move. It gives people time to go out and buy 1/5/10 and 100 oz bars. They take that silver home and sit on it. And it reinforces the price move-a self fulfilling prophecy. That is what 1980 did. Everyone was buing silver.
I think that is what is going on. Hedge funds, nor indeed countries will have any effect. On top of that industry has to compete for silver and make sure they have enough for their factories. As most uses of silver are very inelastic I am sure they are buyng large amounts just in case.
Regarding uses, silver is one of the best consductors of elecctricity , but its real magic is its refraction property. Nothing is like it.
I think this time we go up to $30/40/50 and stabilize somewhere where the real supply /demand fundamentals dictate which should be north of $50 in my opinion.
That is just my guess based on 26 years of studying silver very closely, trading mining stocks and trying to figure third world industrial demand and the future monetary requirements.
Ask youself this (for an industrial comparisaon), what would the price of silver be if its historical price were compared to where copper and zinc are right now?
My main silver palys are slw .wt.a $1.50, ECU $2.60, EXN $1.30, UC .60 and MAI $1.30.
Good luck and do your dd. The above is a wild ass guess, but it is what it looks like now!!
