I didn't say it was warmer than average for Houston then. I said it was warmer than this year. This was the first Monday in November. I recall walking a few blocks downtown about 7:30 am on the first Monday in November and feeling the back of my shirt wet with sweat, sticking to my back. Very early November 1974 was hot. I'm sure later in the month was cooler.

Early mornings in early November this year were cool. Felt like fall.
