Went to command prompt(admin)Typed wuauclt.exe/downloadnow
Mine failed also. Initial download was a little over 3gb. During installation there was error and instalation didn't finish.

Like you I deleted download content and succeed to start download again with this command:

wuauclt.exe /updatenow

Also I had space after exe

Looks like download size this time will be 5,425.2, different than yours, interesting.
I only have 30GB free space so say 24-25 GB after the download, will this be enough?
(It's Asus T200, two in one, with 50GB SSD) I wonder if too small free space caused error during installation.

Btw, thank you for the tip do clear that 'Download' folder.
I could not get it to start again until I emptied that folder.
