What NOVL needs to do is lower the price of the upgrades from NW 3.x to NW 4.x. Instead of charging the $40 - $45/node, they should reduce the price down to $10/node. By retaining existing clients with this version of NetWare, NOVL could always up the price on newer releases once the bait is in. Will MSFT jump in and start a price war ? Probably since MSFT can afford to lose some $ here and there but the current situation as it is will do very little for NOVL sales. The current management can not do anything else without dropping the price unless of course they bought in B. Gates who could sell NetWare with one of his pony shows. New management also can do little. Lets drop the price NOVL !! V.K
