Ah who cares about that. We need to look at the big picture - the average is only 1.5 mos and its expensive so our NICE panel will probably calculate too high a cost per QALY.

$10K/mo x 1.5 mos = $15K/average patient

1.5 mo = 1/8 of a year

$15K x 8 = $120K per QALY

Britain's NICE's limit is $30K Lbs or $49,685 per QALY. Erbitux thus would fail that kind of calculation.

Would some be helped more by Erbitus? Too bad. We're running a national health care system here and our "independent panel" "outside the normal political channels" will have to make "hard choices." Quoting our Dear Leader.
