What makes you say this?

Social Comparison is the most destructive element in human society.

And can you see anything positive coming from comparing one's social group against another? I can.

And WRT:
who came off as more indignant than hillary during the early 90's. Some of that edge seems to have been removed recently. We could all use a little humbling from time to time. Ya'd think she had plenty of it by now.

I think Hillary came off as extremely well-educated, bright, aggressive, and committed to her liberal ideals in the early nineties. How could could this be interpreted as indignation? It seems to me that the indignation WRT Hillary Rodham Clinton falls more squarely on the shoulders of her detractors, who crowed at her failure to institute health care reform, who failed to empathize with her position as the spurned spouse of a man who couldn't seem to keep his willy zipped, and who jeered at her successful bid as senator to New York.

It's these folks who are on the receiving end of the "humbling" wrt Clinton. Which makes me smile.
