Options bad for the market ? I love them because I sell them. Agree completely that the majority of the people lose money on them by buying them. Before I don my fire proof suit remember I said majority, not all investors. Quite a few of my friends have thanked me for persuading them to buy 20 shares of a company rather than 3 call contracts based upon some hot impending news. The news came but never caused a big move (maybe it was already priced into the stock or bad market conditions ... fact is you will never know beforehand) and so the calls just kept on losing the time premium and expired. Today that money they would have lost is not only in their hands but has doubled. Just sharing lessons from Investing for Small Investors 201. -hitesh
