I'll still see Brooks struggling to find a voice that he considers appropriate for his writing style, his sense of self, his political convictions and his new position as an op ed columnist for the Times.

I see Brooks on course to develop a voice that will appeal to the largly Liberal readers of the Times. The days of the type of influence of a Lippman or Reston are over. The market is just too fragmented. But I believe he is going to be "The" Op-Ed writer for them. TWT.
