In your reply to, "Show me higher inflation, higher interest rates and higher unemployment....." and you said, "1982." As I remember, they rang a bell and no one answered. Long government bonds paid 14%, Mobil paid an 8% dividend and gold was way high. Reagan said he would fix inflation. Almost everyone took this with a grain of salt. Just another politician's empty promise.

We all know what happened from there. There is some dispute as to the length of this bull market. In my mind, it started in August of 1982, not in 1987, not in 1991. Half the people in the U.S. have only been alive in a bull market. I do think it ended on July 17, 1998. I really hope I am wrong.
