Joe,
My understanding (from a previous post) is that MSFT is marketing WinCE thru dealers( VenturCom.Eclipse International Inc. and Annasoft). All supposedly have embedded system background.

I posted something from the Annasoft web page in post no 867. They seemed to say that as soon as more memory was available and as soon as more drivers were developed by MSFT,they would have a real product to sell.

I would much prefer to depend on the superiority of Tornado/VxWorks and the flawless exection of Wind River's team to win this market than to try to out-market Microsoft.

By the time WinCE is ready for prime time, Wind River should have an insurmountable lead in the embedded system market.Read David Lehenky's post for the amount of work they still have to do.

No one should take Bill Gates lightly or underestimate the resources he can bring to bear, but he doesn't win every battle and even Microsoft's
resources are finite.

Mitch
