Derek, Prophet and Thread,

Aus may enlighten us more on this area since he uses servers for posting his Digital Images. I don't think he plans to get rid of his CFs.

I am just starting to get my arms around CompactFlash (literally and figuratively!), so the notion of some kind of wireless solution seems foreign to me.

Perhaps, Prophet, you could be more specific about your conception of a means of wireless storage. Do you mean I will have a personal wireless LAN between my digital camera & a cell phone (which must be switched on at the time I am using my digital camera) connected to a server somewhere out in cyberspace??? Seems a bit too complex for me. Also, I am not ready to let my next keeper disappear "into thin air". I think you could easily mount a counterattack to undermine the notion of portable wireless storage.

People will become enamored with the CompactFlash. It is tangible. It is substantial. It is sturdy. It is inexhaustible. What's not to like about it?

I think the CFA and all CF manufacturers should be aggressively promoting the CF standard as the single most desirable and irreplaceable medium for digital photography.
