Are you familiar with the Syrmna fig and the Capri fig? The syrmna is the true fig which is sweet and delicious the capri is a lool-alike but is absoultely unedible. It is a most bitter false reproduction. If one is not familiar with the many varieties of figs one can be easily deceived by the capri's appearance and believe it to be a true fig, but one bite and the individual readily knows it is not a good fig. It is very deceiving to the eye but not to the taste buds. There is also known in the horticulture of figs a waspthat keeps this rotten fig alive it is responsible for the pollination process.
Jer 24:1-3 1 The LORD shewed me, and, behold, two baskets of figs were set before the temple of the LORD, after that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the princes of Judah, with the carpenters and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon. 2 One basket had very good figs, even like the figs that are first ripe: and the other basket had very naughty figs, which could not be eaten, they were so bad. 3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the evil, very evil, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. =========
The same is true with tares and wheat...tares grows with the wheat, to the untrained eye it appears to be a wheat, but one bite and the individual knows it just a look-alike.....A rotten tasting look-alike.
Rev 6:12-13 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Also consider Why Jesus cursed a fig tree....not just any fig tree.
And it is also important to know why Jesus said learn the parable of the fig tree...It was not a suggestion, it was a command.!
Also the parable of the tares explained Matt 13:36-39 36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
