Carter PUT Volcker in the FED because he WANTED to raise interest rates and squeeze out inflation.

So, according to you, Carter was more responsible for our economic boom in the late 1980's and afterward than Reagan was.

As far as "ending" the cold war, you may not have noticed but it NEVER ended.

They took a little break in it for about 10 years but it's back and more dangerous than EVER.
