Shalom and all: Concerning predestination, I think that our frame of reference, i.e. "time" makes it very difficult for us to understand the attributes of God as it relates to predestination. If we view an hour glass, the past is at the bottom, the future is at the top, and the neck is the present. But that isn't all there is to an hour glass. There is also that area that surrounds all three of these:
\ future / \ / \ / eternity \now/ eternity / \ / \ / past We have no way of experiencing the area outside of the hour glass, but God does. He exists in every frame of reference. Hence, we can make decisions, yet be predestined to make them by God who exists outside of any time reference. This seems so simple to me, but people tend to get hung up on it for some reason. Lee |
