Cheer up, STW folks - Iraq Info Minister says all is going well for your side Iraq Defiant 'NO US PRESENCE IN CITY'US forces are "commiting suicide" by attacking Baghdad, according to Iraq's information minister. As news came in of increased Coalition attacks on the capital, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf said: "They are begining to commit suicide at the walls of Baghdad." He said they were being "slaughtered in their hundreds" at the edge of the city. But he insisted there were no Coalition forces within the city and scotched rumours saying US forces had taken control of the Information Ministry and a number of Saddam Hussein's palaces. "We fed them yesterday with hell and death. This morning we will not mention the total number of deaths or tanks destroyed - the operations are still going on. "They pushed a few of their armoured carriers and some of their tanks with their soldiers and we besieged them and we killed most of them and I think we will finish them soon. "My feeling as usual is that we will slaughter them, all of these invaders - their tombs will be here in Iraq. "They have no control even of themselves. "Be assured, Baghdad is safe, protected.
