Wasn't Tawain (sic) China according to you? Of course it had Chiang Kai Scheck--- agood guy by all accounts---NOT

Not a lot of people in Taiwan viewed Chiang as agood (sic) guy, especially Taiwanese who lived there before KMT came after WW2. Chiang treated Taiwanese the same way as he treated Chinese, which is brutal. As a matter of fact, a lot of local Taiwanese hate these Chinese and viewed them as invaders. They originally welcomed KMT but soon found out KMT just wanted use Taiwan as a base to launch a comeback to overthrow communists. After 50 years hard work from both sides, KMT and opposing party PPC, we finally have democracy.

It will be a mistake to view Taiwan government as Chiang's regime. Moreover, whatever debts Chiang owed Chinese should not be burden of Taiwanese now. If Chinese had suffered during Chiang's ruling, Taiwanese should not be different. I won't deny that KMT also has done a lot of good things after Chiang's death. Ironically, his son, a true socialist, gave up power just before his death. Before then, Taiwan is also a socialism country. I sincerely hope our brother in China also can give up power and embrace democracy. If they only rely on force to reunite Taiwan, we have successfully defended ourselves for 50 years. No reason to think we cannot defend ourselves now.

Lin
