I can't even imagine what went on here in my absence. I must say that, speaking personally, I think it might continue to violate Poet's privacy to relive the thing over and over again (perhaps Poet does not feel that way, though). I am not sure this is solvable, but I do want to make clear that quite a few of the people involved are posting at Feelies, so somehow you need to figure out how to let this go as something to argue about, to put in a place where it is not going to continue to hurt everyone concerned. I am not asking for anyone to change their mind, just to put it aside somehow. Because everyone is welcome here, from how ever many sides of this argument there are. The threads at SI have been bloodied by huge fights for several years. I am really curious as to whether this means that cyber communities are just not viable places--that too many of the senses we use in relating to each other are missing when we just stare at words on a screen, or whatever. But that is way too philosophical a discussion to have this late at night. So, anyway, it is possible to move on from this? I wish people would consider the question, because this is not working very well.
