Kazz participation at U.S. snowboard competition
Kazz Industries Inc KAZ Shares issued 8,093,966 1999-06-15 close $1.22 Wednesday Jun 16 1999 Mr. LeRoy Hucke reports Kazz, the parent company of identity snowboards Inc., was fourth at the U.S. Nationals in Telluride, Colo., on March 31, 1999. Riding an identity E185GS raceboard in the nation's largest snowboard competition, Nate Cole overcame a costly first-run mistake to place fourth. Although he posted the second fastest time of the event on his second run, it was not enough for a title win. Making up time on the lower section of the course, with the board's stubborn ability to conquer the icy slope, Nate said: "It held an edge and felt completely solid at all times." More than 850 competitors were present at the USASA National Championships and competed in five disciplines including: boardercross, GS, half-pipe, slalom, and slopestyle. Lacking confidence in his current sponsors' GS board, it was no surprise that Mr. Cole felt empowered to race the E185GS by identity. Mr. Cole was aware of identity's reputation among World Cup racers on the U.S. Snowboard Team. Although contracts have yet to be signed, Mr. Cole has agreed to ride exclusively on identity products. With his superb abilities, and identity's cutting-edge technology and design, the two will make a hard to beat team. |
