"Only a redneck or a person who would like to see condit go down based only on political affiliation would agree with the witch hunt we have going now. Innocent until proven guilty is the law of the land for all people. Not just republicans. " I disagree--I consider myself neither a redneck nor a republican--and i find condit's general behavior concerning these matters to be questionable at best. A man who has little or nothing to hide does not need a slimeball legal mouthpiece to speak for him (even though we are living in the Age of Litigation and Lawyering). Step up to the plate and swing for yourself, I say. Furthermore, whenever i see footage of the man on TV, he gives me the creeps--his smile is as phoney as a 3 dollar bill. My gut tells me he's got something to hide, and my instincts are generally quite good. Granted, you can't condemn a man based on instinct and hypothesis, and certainly he's innocent til proven guilty. I just have a feeling. Frankly, I think you are displaying more partisan behavior than some others here in your paranoia re. political affiliation (granted I imagine there are some who want to take him down purely on a dem. vs. repub. agenda, but those people are clueless reactionaries anyway.) A scumbag in a donkey suit is still a scumbag. Personally, I would have the same reaction to the man if he were a republican, perhaps even a little stronger since i feel that many repubs. display a smug, holier-than-thou attitude, espec. the hard-line right. |
