You poor man!
The last job I did (directly) for Bay they stiffed me for my final payment check (over $900). At which time I doubled my rates in spite (for Bay only).
When Bay got into deep-shit trouble with Sprint on an SNMP agent issue within the micro-code of Bay's routers on the Bridge (as in the securities giant) account, Sprint insisted that they use me to fix the problem at Bay's expense due to my experience with the account and experience dealing with the bug. Needless to say I more than made up for my initial loss (by about 10 fold). Also needless to say that I no longer work with Bay.
Directly that is. <G>

Watch your backside. Make sure your contract is water tight, and get payments on a weekly basis at a maximum if possible. Mine was, and they still tried to stiff me. In the long run it was their loss.
