I am in Houston now and asked friends about Tammy Phillips. The local gossip is GW was a party boy up until the time he decided to run for president which was about 1997. The affair with Phillips as well as falling off the wagon. The rumor is also that GW faked his Born Again anti-abortion status strictly to fool the religious wackos who Delay and Rove helped recruit to the cause. The real cause is oil profits, and other corporate deregulation and gouging, plus war is part of that. War for profit.
