dawn.com Our Pakistani friend laments Other institutions suffered the same fate. Parliament was reduced to a talk show while law-making was done through presidential ordinances. Bureaucracy came down to be a handmaiden of the House of Sharifs. The cabinet became a rubber stamp for decisions taken elsewhere. The PML degenerated into a forum of patronage-seeking individuals and lobbies. Simple mind, simple question and the simple answer is: Pakistan is a feudal society If the West can have motorways, card telephones orbitals around metropolitan cities, bullet trains and credit cards, why can't we have them in Pakistan? A simple mind with a simple question! Orbital in pakistani dictionary, has nothing to do with eyes, but everything to do with belt parkways
