I'm certain that if we had national health care, it would probably look something
like the Los Angeles Public Unified School District. Having "graduated" from
that system, I can assure you that private HMOs would be far superior. As
for public education, I think it needs to compete with the free market.

We are in total agreement on both issues...I would NEVER want the government controlling my health care, and as for the children's education, I want the government as far away as possible.

I would like to see all the parents more involved in their children's education.

It is beyond my comprehension that someone could give birth to a child, and then not care what the child is learning..at school and at home.
