Tell me, how many dems voted against Bush's budget because it spent too much? Can you fill up a single hand with them? I doubt it. But there are scores of them complaining Bush is not spending enough.

Fact is, every time republicans ante up a few hundred billion, dems say, "I'll raise you!"

Why have you turned the tables here? Who cares what the Dems say when Bush submits a budget? Are the Dems now the guardians of fiscal restraint? What they say matters? NO. The Republicans are supposed to be the guardians of fiscal restraint and they no longer are. Now we have the Republicans saying let's spend a lot! And the Dems saying let's spend a lot more!! WHat kind of situation is that? The Republicans no longer say we can't afford it. Bush never even tried to find a way to balance his tax cuts against the budget by cutting something. He never cut anything and just whacked off a huge chunk of revenue, most of which went to his rich friends who financed his campaign, and then sold more treasury bills that we have to pay the interest on, or the economy collapses. What we have in America now is a debt death spiral that the Republicans put us in.
