That means the console will need some sort of storage medium (add more $$$ to the cost), since all PC games at the moment must be installed first before they can be run. When was the last time a game console forced the user to install a game before playing it?

That's real nice, but if the game writers want their games to run on any PC, not just the niche Microsoft gamebox market, they'll have to do cross-development anyway. Otherwise, the game writer will have to gamble on an unestablished platform.

There's way too many questions here, way too many risks I see. PC games are just way too different from console games. Believe me, as an avid gamer who plays both console and PC games, I know.
