Yep, do as I say, not as I do.

Like I've stated before, the hula-baloo over the Chinese espionage is a smoke screen to cover up the failures of our counter-intelligence safeguards. Everyone spies and it is an accepted practice which has not yet, I don't believe, been outlawed under international law. Making political hay out of the issue is meant to embarrass the other nation publically and generate concessions from them for their egregious criminal acts against our nation.

And one thought... SIGINT has taken up far too much of the intelligence budget priorities over the past two decades. But it is HUMINT that is able to get the agent into the inner circle of the opposition and learn intentions before they become actions. Since everyone knows about US capabilities, it becomes an obvious violation of OPSEC to discuss critical matters over the telecommunications networks.
