I hope this isn't a sign that Corel Java Office will be delayed. Sounds like JDK 1.2 won't be released till the end of 1997. I think Corel is waiting for JDK 1.2 before release but I could be wrong.

JavaSoft's JFC's Hit Beta

He said that the JFC classes will work with the current Java Developers Kit 1.1 version, but that the final shipping versions of the JFC classes will appear "in the time frame in which we release JDK 1.2 at the end of 1997."

The downside of today's announcement is the revelation that developers will have to wait until the JDK 1.2 at the end of the year in order to get the printing services that they need for Java applications. Although some limited printing capabilities are available now, the 2D API, which is part of JDK 1.2, is required to come up with a complete printing solution.
