There are laws in the books in every state that need to be rescinded....

Many states have laws that state oral sex between a man and wife fall under sodomy statutes. And they've never taken them off the books..

Now if you're going to claim that, prior to rescinding this 150 year old ban on interracial marriage, no such marriages took place in Alabama, then I could agree that there is a role for Federal influence.

If only for the reason that a marriage that occurs in another state, by Federal Law, must be recognized in other states of the union....

And it is far different from permitting the states to properly manage their own needs with regard to education... And I think McNealy is correct... Wiring schools is great... but without teachers who can provide proper instruction, they are nothing more than toys..
