Joe, although these other issues were the problem, I have to disagree that they are the current problem. The problem is "trust". If I were a NOVL/MSFT VAR (as I used to be) I doubt I'd stake my reputation on Novell at this point. As was asked in one of the trade pubs, will we see a CEO announcement this year?

I pointed out in an earlier post that many folks like you, Barry Nance, Eric Hall etc had continually stuck their neck out for Novell, receiving little or support, just to have their credibility questioned. Incredible disappointment after disappointment. I made a decision earlier this year, based on Joe M's comments in January that despite the fact they were behind on the CEO search, they planned on sticking within the 6 month window they originally specified, and the fact there was no earnings warnings, Well, now I'm still humping to avoid margin problems.

This company has NO CREDIBILITY and I don't know how anyone could muster up any form of confidence in anything they say or do. IMO, nothing else will matter until there is some reason to believe that the situation will change.

Sorry for the negative twist, but I am still furious that I stuck to my convictions with this no-brainer. Sure, at some point they may right themselves, but I doubt they will ever have the potential they had last September, unless they are bought out by a big name FAST. As my broker says, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Novell dosen't even seem to fit the broken clock concept at this point.
