The solution for Search via Windows Explorer not working on Google Drive is at

I had to rebuild the index for it to work.

The problem started with W7 and continued to W10... It took some searching to discover the change I made was moving my files to Google Drive from OneDrive after Microsuck crashed and lost contact with my OneDrive one time too many.
