Thanks Zeev for your thoughts, I originally bought TXN at prices ranging from $55 to $60 this year after its peak of $90.00...I have been able to write covered calls several times (it keeps dropping) lowering my average cost to about $41.00....I have read many articles and analysts of the pending slowdown in the chip sector, though TXN primary business is still analog...DSP production I believe will shortly (in the next couple of quarters) bring in more as much or more revenue...3rd quarter results were great showing a large revenue and income increase, nonetheless this relentless drop in the tech sector has beaten this stock to a p/e of about 27 or 28... I had hope the stock to recover to the $50.00 range in the next 6 months or less nowithstanding all these industry downgrades...I mean, the semi-conductor industry is a growth industry, (last I checked) but i am aware that perception of a near-term slow-down cannot be ignored...your prediction of a quick runup in the next month or so, is probably accurate...I can keep writing calls continually lowering my cost base but I would rather have a rise in the stock :) Your comments about the stock hitting the 20-25 range makes me shudder...I can't say that it won't happen but if it does, the NAZ will be at 1500-2000...madness...please feel free to respond...you seem to have a fair degree of knowledge in this area..
