Gary Cowell, CEO of USRX was on CNBC this morning pushing the 56k hard. He did emphasize the importance of speed and that they would be "participants" as cable and copper wire (hedging his bets?) "within the next few years" became the standards. We have all seen the release of products that lag behind current technology but have had such a large investment made in them, they have to sell so much before moving on to the next jump. USRX currently has about 41-42% of the modem market and is hoping to push that closer to 50% this year according to Mr Cowell. On a more serious note, Happy Birthday to you Pat. With a 18 month old I don't feel like an elder but with another graduating college, it's beginning to get hard to deny. And Happy Birthday to you Amadeo. Now that you have deflowered so many of us, do you still respect us this morning? A belated one to you Durro! Steven
